1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Cockpit ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Apple Vision Pro application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Cockpit is designed with a privacy-first approach: we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any server we operate, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, device identifiers, usage statistics, crash reports (beyond what Apple provides to developers via Xcode Organizer with your consent), or any other personal information.

3. On-Device Permissions

To provide its features, the App may request access to the following on-device data. All processing occurs locally; this data is never transmitted to us:

• Location (When In Use) — Used exclusively to fetch local weather conditions via Apple WeatherKit. WeatherKit sends your approximate location to Apple; this is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple Music — Used to display the currently playing track and provide playback controls. No listening history is accessed or stored by the App.
• HomeKit — Used to display your home scenes and accessories and to execute actions you initiate. No home data is stored outside of HomeKit's own encrypted database.
• Calendar (Full Access) — Used to display your upcoming events on the dashboard. Event data is read-only and is never transmitted outside your device.
• Health (Read Only) — Used to display your daily Move, Exercise, and Stand rings from Apple Watch. No health data is stored by the App or transmitted to us. All access is read-only through Apple's HealthKit framework.

You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app.

4. Network Requests

The App makes a lightweight connectivity check (HTTP HEAD request) to Cloudflare's public resolver (one.one.one.one) solely to measure network latency for the Network dashboard panel. No personal data is included in this request. Weather data is fetched by Apple's WeatherKit SDK directly from Apple's servers.

5. Data Storage

Your dashboard layout, theme selection, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults mechanism. This data is included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud backup enabled; it is never sent to us.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following Apple-provided frameworks that may involve data transmission to Apple's servers under Apple's Privacy Policy:

• Apple WeatherKit (location-based weather)
• Apple MusicKit (now-playing metadata)
• Apple HealthKit (read-only activity data)
• Apple HomeKit (home device control)
• Apple EventKit (calendar events)

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
